Overview

This short gorilla-tracking tour will take you to the Volcanoes National Park, home to the endangered mountain gorillas. The two-hour journey starts at 5:30 am from Kigali. You will be welcomed with a briefing about the tour. Thereafter, you enter the forest for the tracking which normally ends by midday. You then return to the base for your trekking certificate and lunch. End of services.

Itinerary

Early morning at 4:30 am, you will be picked up from your hotel in Kigali and driven to Volcanoes National Park. Arrive by 7 am to attend a pre-tracking briefing. You will then be allocated the gorilla group and enter the forest by 8:30 am in search of the gorillas. The tracking will take 2 to 6 hours, depending on the movement of these apes. After spending an hour in the presence of the gorillas, you will return to the starting point where your driver will transfer you to Kigali to arrive early in the evening.
